Happy-Sad Blessing

Our Sr. Associate Pastor, Rev. Michael Park, has received a call from the Bishop and Cabinet of the Great Plains Annual Conference, to serve as the lead Pastor of 1st United Methodist Church in Chanute, Kansas.  The United Methodist Pastoral appointments begin July 1, so we will have time in the next few months to offer Michael and his family our thanks for his ministry with Grace and bless him on his way to the future to which God has envisioned and called him.
United Methodist ministry is an “itinerant” system, which means however long we as clergy serve at a particular place, we serve a year at a time in consultation with the Bishop and Cabinet.  Our Staff Parish Committee will take the lead at Grace as we wish Michael well and prepare for the next best step to which God is calling and envisioning for us.  For right now, we continue to offer prayers of thanksgiving, and of hope and blessing for Michael, Esther, and Paul and the new ministry God has blessed for them!

Tochi Buddies

Grace UMC continues it’s ministry to Tochimizolco, Puebla, Mexico this spring.  Following Easter, a team of medical personnel will team up with the Methodist church of Tempe, AZ and head to central Mexico to provide medical, dental and optical care to people in this region.  The Medical and Dental Team bring a large quantity of medicine with them, which will supply our partner clinic for most of the year.

You can be an important part of this medical/dental team through prayer and financial support.  Each year the needs are similar but punctuated by something unusual that God has brought the team to help with.  The teams are convinced that prayer support has helped solve difficult situations in the past and will continue to do so in the future.

Please keep these people and this team in your prayers this spring.  Consider supporting this team through your giving.  Drop a check by the office,  pay via the phone app or visit the Grace website.
